Restore Volume, Enhance Contours, and Smooth Lines
Dermal fillers are injectable treatments designed to restore lost volume, smooth fine lines, and enhance facial contours for a more youthful appearance. Common areas include the cheeks, lips, jawline, and under-eyes, with results that are immediate and can last from several months to over a year.
How it Works
Dermal fillers are injectable gels, typically made from hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body, that work by restoring volume beneath the skin. As we age, our skin loses collagen, fat, and elasticity, leading to sagging, hollowness, and wrinkles. By strategically placing filler beneath the surface, volume is restored and contours are enhanced, creating a smoother, more lifted, and refreshed appearance.
Fillers can be used in various areas of the face, including the cheeks, lips, nasolabial folds, chin, and under the eyes. The treatment is minimally invasive, with immediate results and little to no downtime. Depending on the type of filler and treatment area, results can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. Fillers offer subtle, natural-looking enhancements that maintain the harmony and balance of your facial features.

Juvederm/Restylane
Juvéderm and Restylane are both hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers used to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours, but they differ in formulation and texture, which can affect their application and results. Juvéderm tends to have a smoother, gel-like consistency, making it ideal for areas that require a soft, natural finish, such as the lips and nasolabial folds. Because of its cohesiveness, Juvéderm may spread more evenly under the skin, leading to a softer appearance and potentially longer-lasting results depending on the product used.
Restylane, on the other hand, has a slightly firmer texture due to its granular formulation, which can offer more precision and structure. This makes it especially effective in areas that need more definition or support, like the cheeks, under-eye hollows, and jawline. Additionally, Restylane’s range of products offers more control for layering and subtle enhancements. While both fillers are safe and effective, the choice between them often depends on the treatment area, desired outcome, and practitioner preference.

Q: What are dermal fillers and how do they work? A: Dermal fillers are injectable treatments made of hyaluronic acid or other biocompatible substances that restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial features. They work by filling in areas under the skin, creating a more youthful and contoured appearance.
Q: How long do fillers last? A: The longevity of fillers depends on the type used and the treatment area, but most hyaluronic acid-based fillers like Juvéderm or Restylane last between 6 to 18 months. Areas with more movement, such as the lips, may break down the filler faster.
Q: Do filler injections hurt? A: Discomfort is usually minimal. Our fillers contain lidocaine, a numbing agent, and our nurse injector may apply a topical anesthetic beforehand to enhance comfort.
Q: Is there any downtime after getting fillers? A: There is minimal downtime. Most clients return to their regular activities the same day. Mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site is common but typically resolves within a few days.
Q: Are dermal fillers safe? A: Yes, when administered by a trained and experienced professional, fillers are considered safe. Side effects are generally mild and temporary. Serious complications are rare but can occur, so it’s important to go to a licensed provider. All of our nurse injectors are highly skilled with years of experience.
Q: Can fillers be reversed if I don’t like the results? A: Yes, most hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. If you're unhappy with the outcome or experience an issue, our nurse injector can safely reverse the treatment.
